Service Technician – Full Time (40 hrs/week)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Service Technician to join our nationwide Service Department. This permanent, full‑time position supports the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of specialised processing and packaging equipment across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain advanced processing and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance, rebuilds and equipment upgrades.
• Interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics at component level.
• Provide remote and on‑site technical support and deliver training to customer personnel.
• Travel throughout New Zealand (and occasionally internationally) and respond to urgent breakdowns.

Required profile

• Current Electrician’s Licence or a Fitter/Mechanic qualification with a Restricted Electrical Licence.
• Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience, preferably with high‑speed processing or packaging equipment.
• Full, current driver’s licence and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly, work varied hours and respond to emergencies.

• Salary range $85,000 – $100,000 per annum (NZD).
