Service Technician – Forklift Maintenance (Auckland)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in Auckland and involves field‑based or site‑based repairs and maintenance on a large fleet of Crown forklifts. You will work both in a well‑equipped workshop and on‑site, handling mechanical, battery‑electric and internal‑combustion models while providing exceptional service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues on forklift fleets.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing in the workshop and on‑site.
• Support customers with reliable, timely service and build strong relationships.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Participate in on‑call duties and occasional paid overtime (time‑and‑a‑half after 40 hours).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience with material handling equipment, auto‑electrical, battery‑electric or motor mechanics, or a related trade qualification.
• Customer‑centric, solutions‑focused attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Physically fit for manual handling and able to pass a pre‑employment medical, drug & alcohol test, and hold a valid driver’s licence.
