Service Technician – Automatic Door Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to deliver installation, repair and maintenance services for our AAES automatic door product range in Wellington. The role involves responding to emergency breakdowns, performing scheduled maintenance and ensuring our customers receive high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain AAES automatic doors and related systems.
• Liaise with customers and Service Coordinators to schedule work and resolve site issues.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation in line with quality and timeliness standards.
• Maintain tools, personal protective equipment and comply with WHS and company policies.
• Provide flexible support including call‑outs, overtime and out‑of‑hours work.
• Report safety incidents, hazards and risks via Donesafe and take part in training, audits and meetings.

Required profile

• Experience in building, carpentry or related trades is desirable.
• Previous service or installation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the Wellington area is an advantage.
• Qualified/licensed electrician or fitter‑and‑turner; controls experience a plus.
• EWP (scissor lift) and forklift licences preferred.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
