Service Manager – Auckland District Court

About the role

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a Service Manager for the Criminal jurisdiction at the Auckland District Court. This permanent, full‑time position will lead a diverse team, coach staff and drive a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and support employees to increase capability and performance.
• Oversee delivery of services to improve operational quality and consistency.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement and support changes to business and work processes.

Required profile

• Operational management experience.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide staff.
• Proven track record of supporting and implementing process changes.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Resilience and confidence in a public‑facing role.
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
