Service Engineer – IT & Network Support

About the role

Entelar Group is looking for a Service Engineer to deliver high‑quality technical support across a range of IT environments. Based in Dunedin, you will work closely with clients, both remotely and on‑site, to resolve issues quickly and maintain a seamless ICT experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote and on‑site technical support to a diverse client base.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network faults.
• Build, configure and maintain end‑user devices such as PCs, laptops, thin clients, printers, mobiles and tablets.
• Install, configure and support networking equipment, including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Document service activities and keep accurate records of client interactions.
• Develop productive relationships with colleagues, clients and suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT service or technical support roles.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities, able to work under pressure.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence for travel between client sites.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• PC, laptop, thin client, printer, mobile and tablet configuration.
• Windows desktop and Server support.
• Router, switch and firewall installation and configuration.
• Network fault finding and routing/switching optimisation.
• Webex installation.
• Relevant certifications such as A+, Network+, CCNA or CCNP.
