Service Design Architect – Operate Service Lead

About the role

Deloitte is looking for an experienced Service Design Architect to join the Operate team in Auckland. You will shape scalable managed‑service solutions that align client outcomes with Deloitte’s delivery capabilities, risk appetite and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of end‑to‑end managed‑service solutions across complex, multi‑year engagements.
• Translate client requirements into practical service models, defining operating models, governance structures, service boundaries and delivery approaches.
• Support pursuit activities through solution shaping, pricing and stakeholder engagement to ensure commercially sound proposals.
• Collaborate with delivery, commercial and solution‑architecture leads across New Zealand and globally.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with Deloitte’s risk and quality standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in managed services, outsourcing or Operate delivery models, including large‑scale, multi‑year projects.
• Strong understanding of service management, operating models, pricing structures and global delivery environments.
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior leaders across complex, cross‑functional settings.
• Experience designing governance frameworks and delivery approaches for managed services.
• Track record of supporting commercial pursuits and delivering competitive solutions.
