SEO Specialist – Technical & On‑Page Optimization

About the role

We are looking for an SEO Specialist to ensure our websites are technically optimised for search engines and to provide data‑driven guidance to the content team. Working closely with writers, developers and marketing stakeholders, you will identify opportunities, resolve technical issues and help grow sustainable organic traffic.

Key responsibilities

• Lead keyword research and build keyword maps linking target terms to specific pages or content clusters.
• Create clear SEO briefs for writers, covering primary/secondary keywords, search intent and on‑page recommendations.
• Diagnose and resolve technical SEO issues such as indexation, crawl budget, site speed, structured data, canonical tags, hreflang, redirects and XML sitemaps.
• Audit website health regularly using SEO tools and produce action‑oriented reports for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Monitor search performance metrics (rankings, clicks, impressions, CTR) and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure site architecture, internal linking, mobile‑friendliness and Core Web Vitals follow best practices.
• Collaborate with developers to implement technical fixes, write clear tickets and verify deployments.
• Stay updated on major search engine algorithm changes and communicate risks to the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in SEO with a focus on technical SEO and on‑page optimisation.
• Strong analytical ability to translate data into simple, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proficient English reading ability for global SEO resources; additional languages are a plus.
