Senior Web Engineer (React/Next.js)

About the role

First Table is looking for a Senior Web Engineer to shape the next generation of its restaurant‑booking platform. You will work on customer‑facing features, prototype new ideas and help improve performance, accessibility and overall user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Build new booking‑platform features using React, Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Create polished, responsive interfaces and reusable component libraries.
• Prototype entirely new product concepts and iterate quickly.
• Improve performance, accessibility and overall user experience.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to solve real customer problems.
• Support A/B testing and experimentation to boost conversion.
• Occasionally contribute to the React Native mobile application.
• Help evolve engineering practices, including AI‑assisted development workflows.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience building applications with Next.js.
• Excellent frontend engineering fundamentals and a good eye for UI quality.
• Experience working closely with Product and Design teams.
• Confidence owning features from idea through production.
• Pragmatic approach to balancing speed with quality.
