Senior Warehouse Coordinator – Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Senior Warehouse Coordinator to join our ABI East Tāmaki team in New Zealand. The role oversees daily warehouse operations, ensures efficiency and compliance, and supports the Warehouse Manager, stepping in as acting manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily warehouse floor activities, allocating labour and setting team tasks to maximise productivity.
• Act as primary decision-maker and point of contact in the Warehouse Manager’s absence.
• Maintain health & safety standards, serve as Health & Safety Representative and conduct regular safety checks.
• Ensure MPI and biosecurity compliance for container devanning, keeping documentation and equipment records up to date.
• Prepare weekly operational reports covering performance, issues and team updates.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for processes, equipment and layout.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, IT and Planning to align operations with customer expectations.
• Perform hands-on tasks such as receiving, storing, dispatching stock, inventory counts and operating material handling equipment when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a coordinator or team-lead role.
• Strong people-leadership with a coaching mindset.
• Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities.
• Solid understanding of New Zealand health & safety, MPI and biosecurity regulations.
• Proactive and adaptable, able to fill various operational roles as required.
