Senior Systems Test Analyst

About the role

BNZ is seeking a Senior Systems Test Analyst to join its Finance Systems Team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on ensuring seamless SAP Finance processing during the migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, supporting project‑based activities and delivering high‑quality test outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed test plans for unit and System Integration Testing (SIT).
• Execute unit and SIT testing of SAP integrations and impacted transactions.
• Assist with cut‑over planning and execution.
• Analyse issues, determine root causes from a functional perspective, and provide solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear functional requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all testing activities.
• Identify and drive process enhancements in partnership with technology teams and vendors.
• Perform complex system reviews using SQL‑based data analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in finance systems support, with a strong focus on functional support rather than accounting.
• Hands‑on problem‑solver able to add value quickly in a complex finance environment.
• Experience in banking or financial services is advantageous.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong SAP functional experience (SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Finance).
• Proficient SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience creating and executing test plans for unit and SIT testing.
• Knowledge of systems change management and impact assessment.
