Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

Skills Group is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join its IT Services team in Ellerslie. You will own Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, identity and access management, and Azure operational support while acting as the technical escalation point for the support team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and act as the escalation point for complex IT issues.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Manage endpoint devices, security policies, software deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Support Azure operations, cloud governance, and infrastructure improvements.
• Mentor IT Support Engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
• Participate in technology projects, automation initiatives, and continuous service improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least three years of experience in technical support, systems administration, modern workplace, or infrastructure support.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
