Senior Software Engineer – React Native

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specialized in React Native to join a high‑performing product engineering team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves building and enhancing mobile applications that serve a global customer base, working closely with product, design, backend and QA colleagues in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain cross‑platform mobile apps using React Native.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable TypeScript code.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and manage application state efficiently.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive interfaces.
• Handle native module integration and support iOS/Android app store deployments.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven commercial experience delivering React Native apps for both iOS and Android.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and React Navigation.
• Experience with API integration, state management, and native mobile modules.
• Familiarity with app store submission processes.
• Ability to work effectively in agile teams and communicate with stakeholders.
• Valid New Zealand working rights.
