Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Parkable is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of AI‑enabled products that make parking fair and stress‑free. You will sit at the intersection of AI, mobile and web platforms, shaping architecture and guiding a growing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Define where AI adds value and where human judgment remains, ensuring responsible product development.
• Set the architectural direction for mobile and web applications, supporting scalability and reliability.
• Drive end‑to‑end technical delivery in partnership with Product, Design and QA.
• Mentor and coach engineers, raising the overall quality of the team’s work.
• Maintain security and reliability of services deployed at scale.

Required profile

• 4+ years of full‑stack development experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong background in Java (or comparable backend language) and modern front‑end frameworks.
• Proven ability to make architectural decisions and guide technical direction.
• Deep understanding of cloud‑native architectures (GCP, AWS or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, API design and data modelling (SQL/NoSQL).
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools and eager to explore AI possibilities.
• Passion for growing other engineers and sharing knowledge.
