Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Crimson Global Academy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the technology that powers a global virtual school. You will work closely with product teams to deliver high‑impact features that directly affect students and families worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑based backend services, infrastructure, and occasional frontend components.
• Own complex technical problems from definition through shipping, monitoring, and iteration.
• Drive test‑driven development and ensure code quality does not regress.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help set the technical direction of the engineering team.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to provide accurate estimates, clear communication, and reliable delivery.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment practices for faster, safer releases.
• Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and ensure high availability across regions.
• Mentor junior engineers, raise overall team quality, and model engineering standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full‑stack instincts with deep backend and infrastructure expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to ship production‑ready software in a CI/CD environment.
• Clear, honest communication and a team‑first mindset.
• Interest in growing toward technical leadership.
