Senior Software Engineer

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer will join Frogparking’s next‑generation parking and mobility platform team. Based in Palmerston North with remote flexibility, you will help design, develop and maintain robust back‑end services that power extraordinary arrival‑through‑departure experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back‑end web applications and APIs.
• Design scalable, maintainable software architectures.
• Optimize code for performance and reliability.
• Debug complex issues and ensure high‑quality releases.
• Collaborate with product, design and operations teams in a hybrid environment.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science principles and software development.
• Proficiency in back‑end web development and programming.
• Experience with object‑oriented programming (OOP) methodologies.
• Ability to design scalable and maintainable architectures.
• Problem‑solving mindset and collaborative attitude.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based technologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Experience in the parking or mobility industry is an advantage.
