Senior Software Engineer - API

About the role

Kiwibank is modernising its banking technology and is building API squads to create scalable micro‑services and APIs on a new cloud‑based integration platform. As a Senior Software Engineer you will work with modern .NET technologies, GraphQL, Docker and Kubernetes to shape how the bank’s systems connect and operate.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and evolve high‑quality, cloud‑native micro‑services and APIs.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, architects and security specialists.
• Implement contract‑first REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Ensure observability through logging, monitoring and metrics.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and support production environments.

Required profile

• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET and .NET Core.
• Proven ability to build and integrate REST APIs.
• Experience working in AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and application observability.
• Collaborative mindset and experience in Agile teams.
