Senior Security Specialist

About the role

Serko is looking for a Senior Security Specialist to join its Auckland team. Reporting to the CISO, you will help shape the security strategy during a period of rapid transformation and enable the business to deliver its goals securely.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships across the organisation and act as a security advisor.
• Conduct business‑focused security risk assessments and communicate findings.
• Empower delivery teams with security knowledge to operate within acceptable risk levels.
• Collaborate with the CISO and security team to define and implement the Security Strategy.
• Stay current on the threat landscape and recommend counter‑measures.
• Lead initiatives in DevSecOps, security operations, incident response, threat intelligence, security awareness, and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Significant experience in DevSecOps and security risk management.
• Strong understanding of security attack and defence methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record delivering high‑quality security risk management in fast‑paced environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft security products such as Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory and Azure Sentinel.
