Senior Security Specialist – Auckland

About the role

The Senior Security Specialist will act as a senior, customer‑facing leader driving cybersecurity transformation for enterprise and public‑sector organisations in Auckland. You will own the full sales lifecycle, guide strategic engagements and work with virtual teams of sales, technical and partner resources to accelerate adoption of the Microsoft Security platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs and senior technology leaders to address complex security challenges.
• Lead strategic engagements across the Microsoft Security portfolio, positioning security as a driver of resilience, innovation and growth.
• Develop, manage and close a healthy pipeline of opportunities, driving revenue growth and account expansion.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, translating security, compliance and risk requirements into business‑focused solutions.
• Lead virtual teams of sales, technical and partner resources to deliver successful outcomes.
• Align Microsoft Security solutions to customer priorities such as cloud modernisation, data protection, regulatory compliance, security operations and AI transformation.
• Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to provide strategic guidance.
• Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders to remove barriers and maximise customer success.

Required profile

• 10+ years of solution sales or pre‑sales experience in cloud technologies with a focus on cybersecurity, compliance, governance and risk, or equivalent education and experience (Bachelor’s + 8+ years, Master’s + 7+ years).
• Proven experience selling or supporting enterprise security solutions and familiarity with leading security platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern security operations, threat protection, identity, compliance and cloud security concepts.
