Senior Relationship Manager

About the role

The Senior Relationship Manager will lead the growth and management of a portfolio of larger commercial clients across the Auckland region. This senior position focuses on originating new primary customer relationships, expanding ANZ’s market footprint, and delivering sustainable financial wellbeing for a diverse set of businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Grow, develop and manage a portfolio of complex commercial clients, with accountability for acquiring new‑to‑bank relationships.
• Build a strong pipeline of opportunities by taking a strategic, whole‑of‑client approach.
• Strengthen ANZ’s market presence in Auckland, acting as a senior representative to key commercial clients and industry participants.
• Originate and manage complex lending structures and oversee high‑value, strategically important client relationships.
• Collaborate with Business & Agri teams to deliver digital capabilities, automation, and insights that add value for customers.

Required profile

• Senior member of a commercial banking team with a proven track record in relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire new customers and expand market share.
• Experience handling complex lending arrangements and high‑value client portfolios.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive long‑term client relationships.
