Senior React Native Developer – Relocate to Auckland

About the role

We are seeking a Senior React Native Developer to join a leading consumer‑technology organisation in New Zealand. The role is permanent, full‑time and based in Auckland, with a hybrid working model to support candidates relocating from Wellington.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of consumer‑facing mobile apps using React Native, TypeScript and Expo.
• Own app performance, stability and release quality across iOS and Android.
• Define and enforce mobile engineering standards, testing practices, accessibility guidelines and design‑system integration.
• Collaborate with product, design, web and platform teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Integrate AI‑based tooling to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.

Required profile

• Valid New Zealand work rights.
• Extensive experience delivering the full mobile lifecycle from architecture to production.
• Advanced TypeScript proficiency and solid knowledge of native iOS and Android environments.
• Experience with Expo is highly advantageous.
• Calm, collaborative leadership style with a focus on peer mentorship.
