Senior Purchase Officer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Purchase Officer to lead procurement activities for a leading snacks and beverages manufacturer in Birgunj. The role involves managing the full purchase cycle, from sourcing suppliers to ensuring timely delivery of imported and local materials.

Key responsibilities

• Source suppliers, obtain quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Issue purchase orders and coordinate with store, production, finance, logistics and inventory teams.
• Handle customs clearance, import documentation and freight cost optimisation.
• Maintain vendor relationships, monitor performance and resolve discrepancies.
• Track inventory levels, prevent stockouts or overstocking, and align procurement with demand forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and import regulations.
• Supervise Purchase Officers and guide the requisition‑to‑order process.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of procurement experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Proven negotiation and vendor‑management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
