Senior Project Manager – Water Infrastructure

About the role

Join our high‑performing team in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) to lead the delivery of sustainable Three Waters infrastructure across the Waikato region. You will act as the client’s representative, overseeing projects from feasibility through to handover, and ensuring resilient water solutions for generations to come.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle for treatment plants, stormwater reticulation, bulk supply pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs and related networks.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules and risk registers.
• Coordinate with complex stakeholder groups, including Waikato Waters and IAWAI panels.
• Issue change instructions, run project meetings and provide clear, regular reporting to clients.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, health and safety regulations and contractual obligations.

Required profile

• 8+ years post‑graduate experience in civil engineering, construction management or project delivery, including time as a consultant or client‑side Project Manager.
• Qualified in a STEM discipline such as Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Proven ability to manage large, high‑impact infrastructure projects in complex stakeholder environments.
