Senior Project Manager / Project Director – Wellington

About the role

RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Senior Project Managers and Project Directors to join its Wellington‑based Project Management team. The role will involve leading large‑scale infrastructure and water projects across New Zealand and the wider Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex construction and infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Manage client relationships, contracts, and design coordination.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and risk management.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of project management experience in building and construction.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder communication and organisational abilities.
• New Zealand citizenship or appropriate working rights.
• PRINCE2 or PMP certification highly regarded.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• MS Project (desirable).
• PRINCE2 certification.
• PMP certification.
