Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of 3 Waters and infrastructure resilience projects in Wellington, New Zealand. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility studies through to delivery, handover and ongoing community impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of treatment plants, stormwater reticulation, bulk supply pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, mains renewals and associated networks.
• Manage complex stakeholder environments and maintain clear communication with clients and partners.
• Produce regular project reports and issue change instructions (CIs) as required.
• Facilitate and chair project meetings, ensuring decisions are documented and actions tracked.
• Coordinate with the local high‑performing team and the broader national business to ensure project governance and quality standards.

Required profile

• Approximately 8+ years post‑graduate experience in civil engineering, project delivery or construction management.
• Experience working as a consultant or client‑side Project Manager on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead projects through all delivery stages in complex stakeholder settings.
• Strong strategic oversight combined with a hands‑on approach to day‑to‑day project details.
