Senior Project Manager

About the role

Babbage Consultants is seeking three experienced Senior Project Managers to lead complex engineering and manufacturing projects across Auckland, Hamilton or Christchurch. You will own the delivery of projects from concept through construction, commissioning and handover, working with industry‑leading clients in the dairy, food processing and broader industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and control project programmes, budgets and resources.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks throughout design and construction phases.
• Oversee construction activities and ensure successful operational handover.
• Contribute to business growth through proposal development and client engagement.

Required profile

• Degree in Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering industrial, manufacturing or processing projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering project delivery from design to construction.
• Excellent communication, relationship management and commercial awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
