Senior Project Manager

About the role

DXC Technology is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high‑profile, enterprise‑scale projects for government and public‑sector clients in Wellington. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week on‑site, and involves working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver outcomes that support national priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects from initiation through closure.
• Drive outcomes using both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
• Establish governance, reporting and assurance aligned with public‑sector standards.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change with disciplined processes.
• Own financials including budgets, forecasts and resource planning.
• Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships, influencing key decisions.
• Motivate and lead cross‑functional teams to achieve high performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of project delivery experience, including leading large projects independently.
• Experience delivering large, complex projects in government or regulated environments.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum/SAFe are highly regarded.
• Strong commercial acumen and accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Excellent executive‑level communication skills.
