Senior Project Manager

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the remediation of issues and drive operational changes within a Register ecosystem in Wellington. This is a contract position running until February 2027, focused on delivering complex, multi‑stream programmes that impact data, privacy, customer care and business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide management and support to remediate issues and implement operational changes across the Register ecosystem.
• Coordinate complex, multi‑stream programmes and ensure alignment across diverse, multi‑agency stakeholders.
• Support customer‑facing programme transitions and large operational roll‑outs.
• Operate at both strategic and tactical levels to keep programme activities and workstreams on schedule.
• Deliver results under tight timeframes and staged implementation schedules.

Required profile

• Experience managing complex programmes that affect data, privacy, customer service and business operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate multi‑agency relationships.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑stream programmes and deliver under pressure.
• Adaptable, pragmatic and resilient, with the capacity to handle ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Discreet and professional handling of sensitive information and high‑level communications.
