Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are a boutique project management consultancy delivering complex infrastructure, transport and public‑sector programmes across New Zealand. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who can hit the ground running, lead high‑visibility projects from day one and grow with the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex projects end‑to‑end, ensuring scope, schedule and budget are met.
• Build trusted relationships with senior clients and stakeholders across public and private sectors.
• Contribute to multiple client accounts to avoid single‑client dependency.
• Support business growth by leveraging industry connections and identifying new opportunities.
• Act as a senior sounding board within a small, high‑trust team.
• Help shape organisational systems, culture and future capability as the consultancy expands.

Required profile

• 5‑15 years of project management experience, preferably in New Zealand.
• Strong portfolio of infrastructure, transport or public‑sector projects.
• Established reputation and professional network within the industry.
• Ownership mindset with a long‑term perspective.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a small consultancy environment.
