Senior Project Manager – Investor Engagement

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position leads the design and delivery of an Investor Engagement and Activation Programme aimed at welcoming high‑impact investor migrants to Auckland. The role converts investor interest into tangible economic, investment and civic contributions by linking investors with business and innovation ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a 12‑month action plan with clear objectives, milestones, success metrics and budget oversight.
• Design a structured investor journey from pre‑arrival through activation, retention and long‑term connection.
• Build trusted relationships with investor migrants, government agencies, founders, private‑sector partners, angel groups, venture capital firms, business networks and innovation hubs.
• Facilitate pathways for investors to engage in Auckland’s economic, innovation, philanthropic and civic opportunities.
• Support digital outreach and content creation via platforms such as InvestAKL and LinkedIn.

Required profile

• At least five years of project management experience delivering results in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Senior‑level relationship and stakeholder management skills across government, business and investment sectors.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand’s economic, business and investment landscape, including contract negotiation.
• Proven financial management ability, including project cost tracking.
• Confidence using digital tools and social media for engagement and outreach.
