Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure & Water Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of 3 Waters and infrastructure resilience projects in Queenstown, New Zealand. You will work on treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and associated networks, delivering high‑impact projects that shape the future of our communities. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of water‑related infrastructure projects from feasibility through construction to handover.
• Manage project budgets, schedules and risk registers, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Issue change instructions, conduct project meetings and maintain clear client reporting.
• Coordinate with the local team and national business to leverage resources and expertise.
• Oversee procurement, contract administration and quality assurance for all project phases.

Required profile

• Approximately 8+ years post‑graduate experience in civil engineering, project delivery or construction management.
• Proven track record delivering projects in complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong leadership and strategic oversight combined with a hands‑on approach to day‑to‑day project activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and internal teams.
