Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is hiring a Senior Project Manager for infrastructure projects in Auckland. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of client projects, keeping operations minimally disrupted and adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects across varied scopes and disciplines, meeting agreed success criteria.
• Define project scope and help prepare business cases and secure funding approvals.
• Engage stakeholders to capture inputs, restrictions, approvals and requirements.
• Manage tender preparation, bid analysis and contract awards for consultants and contractors.
• Ensure contracts are complied with, process payments and manage changes.
• Control site activities safely and in line with regulations, working with consultants and safety advisors.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and maintain quality standards across design and construction.

Required profile

• Proven track record designing and delivering construction projects, especially in the water sector.
• Understanding of wastewater treatment plants and systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across all lifecycle stages.
• Strong communication and consultation skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Contract expertise, including contractor management and contract administration under NEC.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft 365 Apps.
