Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure & 3 Waters

About the role

Join a high‑performing local team in Wellington to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of 3 Waters and infrastructure resilience projects. You will work on treatment plants, stormwater networks, pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs and related assets, shaping the future of the region while enjoying the city’s vibrant lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Provide strategic oversight while staying hands‑on with day‑to‑day tasks such as issuing change instructions, leading meetings and preparing client reports.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including councils, regulators, contractors and community groups.
• Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, quality and safety targets.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• 8+ years post‑graduate experience in civil engineering, project delivery or construction management.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects in multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Experience working as a consultant or client‑side project manager is desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
