Senior Project Engineer/Manager

About the role

BNP Associates, a global leader in air‑transportation consulting, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Manager for its Auckland office. You will act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, contractors and BNP, delivering complex airport and cargo infrastructure projects while supporting business development across Oceania.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, field surveys, equipment tests and construction management activities.
• Assess project sites for feasibility, operational requirements and compliance.
• Develop and review CAD drawings, engineering designs, specifications and technical reports.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers and trades on multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, logistics, RFI responses and punch‑list resolution.
• Prepare status reports, cost estimates, technical studies and system simulations.
• Provide technical support, mentor junior staff and contribute to business‑development presentations.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience as a project engineer or manager in airport, baggage handling or cargo infrastructure.
• Ability to act as the main liaison and subject‑matter expert throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder coordination and business‑development activities.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting team growth.
