Senior Production Coordinator

About the role

Rocket Lab is an end‑to‑end space company that designs, builds and launches rockets and satellites. The Supply Chain team ensures the flow of materials that enable these missions. Based at the Auckland facility, the Senior Production Coordinator plays a hands‑on role in keeping the shop floor supplied, tracking work orders and removing obstacles that could delay production.

Key responsibilities

• Issue shop‑floor items to production work orders on time.
• Perform regular runs through assigned departments to move materials and maintain kanban circuits.
• Maintain lineside inventory accuracy, conduct cycle counts and keep work areas tidy.
• Monitor inventory order lines and flag any risk of late delivery.
• Watch perishable lineside items and consumables, escalating when they could block production.
• Identify and resolve material blockers that prevent order completion.
• Support production planners in prioritising and delivering materials from the global production system.

Required profile

• Hands‑on attitude with a focus on keeping production flowing.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to clear material issues quickly.
• Attention to detail for inventory accuracy and kanban management.
• Ability to communicate status of work orders and escalations effectively.
