Senior Product Owner - Data

About the role

ANZ is looking for a Senior Product Owner to shape the future of its Enterprise Data capabilities. You will manage the backlog and priorities of data solutions that move information from source systems into reporting environments, supporting regulatory compliance and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage timeline, backlog and priorities for Operational and Analytical reporting capability, ensuring smooth transition to business‑as‑usual.
• Prioritise business feature requirements related to data, delivering fit‑for‑purpose solutions for file movement, regulatory, operational and analytical reporting.
• Represent the Data Discipline in program forums and decision‑making processes.
• Review data‑related architecture and vendor deliverables.
• Guide design, planning and delivery of data solutions to support business outcomes.
• Lead key data activities such as requirements gathering, mapping and technical design.
• Support change management and adoption of ANZ’s data platforms.
• Oversee a small team of data specialists to ensure effective delivery.
• Provide strategic input on data approaches across the programme.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in data/analytics projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to lead cross‑functional teams and coordinate delivery.
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end data solutions from source to reporting.
• Understanding of regulatory, operational and analytical reporting requirements.
• Expertise in backlog management, prioritisation and release planning.
• Ability to drive change and adoption of new data platforms.
