Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

Transpower is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to work at the heart of its application ecosystem, ensuring the national electricity grid remains reliable and secure. The role bridges development and operations, leading platform activities across design, configuration, maintenance and support for both Linux and Windows environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance application platforms, automation and tooling across Linux and Windows systems.
• Lead technical delivery, monitoring and continuous improvement of critical application services.
• Design, develop, configure and support solutions delivered through projects and day‑to‑day operations.
• Extend and optimise the existing delivery toolchain to ensure stable, highly available platforms.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to drive DevOps best practices.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused platform engineer with experience in software development, system administration or system operations in complex environments.
• Proven ability to work across cross‑functional teams and deliver reliable infrastructure services.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
