About the role

TBI Health in New Plymouth is seeking an experienced Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join its expanding rehabilitation services across New Plymouth and Hāwera. The role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys mentoring colleagues and wishes to develop further leadership skills within a supportive, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and rehabilitation services in line with ACC contract specifications.
  • Support, supervise, and train new graduate physiotherapists and students as required.
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and progress physiotherapy care for patients.
  • Monitor patient progress and report to multidisciplinary team staff to facilitate discharge planning.
  • Refer patients to internal or external providers for ongoing care after discharge.
  • Deliver accurate clinical assessments and patient education.
  • Participate actively in the pain management programme.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment protocols.

Required profile

  • Experienced MSK Physiotherapist with a solid background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
  • Passionate about delivering high‑quality care and supporting patient recovery.
  • Enjoys mentoring and supervising junior staff and students.
  • Keen to develop leadership skills within a collaborative team environment.
