About the role
We are partnering with a dynamic consultancy in Christchurch to hire a Senior Mechanical / Hydraulics Engineer. The role focuses on designing HVAC and hydraulic services for commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects across the South Island.
Key responsibilities
- Design HVAC and hydraulics services for commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
- Oversee and support installation, commissioning and project delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects and project managers to ensure project objectives are met.
Required profile
- 8+ years of design experience in mechanical engineering (HVAC building services).
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and relevant HVAC & hydraulic standards.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or actively pursuing it.
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Proficiency in Carrier HAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
