Senior Manager, Technology Oversight

About the role

The Senior Manager, Technology Oversight is a key position within ANZ’s Second Line Risk function. You will help the bank identify, assess and manage technology risk, ensuring that technology supports the organisation’s strategy safely and responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders across Technology and Risk to shape proactive non‑financial risk management.
• Provide second‑line oversight aligned to the NFR Framework, supporting risk‑aware decision‑making.
• Act as a trusted risk advisor and subject‑matter expert on material technology risks, operational resilience and regulatory obligations.
• Lead independent reviews, form clear opinions on risk maturity and influence improvement initiatives.
• Deliver insightful reporting, challenge activities and advisory support to embed best‑practice risk management across Technology.

Required profile

• Significant experience in technology risk, operational resilience or related risk functions within a large financial institution.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive risk‑focused change.
• Excellent judgement, analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex risk concepts clearly.
