Senior Manager – SME Banking

About the role

The Senior Manager – SME will design, develop and drive the implementation of key enablers that support the Customer Value Proposition (CVP) for the SME segment. This role focuses on delivering mutually beneficial business value, growing the SME portfolio and aligning initiatives with Nedbank’s overall strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Build synergies across cluster functions to design and execute sales capabilities and cross‑sell opportunities for the SME market.
• Monitor implementation of sales strategies, ensuring targets are met and stakeholder expectations are fulfilled.
• Provide continuous sales leadership, empowering the SME team and tracking performance against KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal and external executives and industry stakeholders to unlock new sales and service opportunities.
• Manage SME business strategies and sales campaigns to increase profitability.
• Report progress toward strategic objectives, adjusting plans to maximise revenue, cost efficiency and operational excellence.
• Identify and manage strategic risks, enforcing internal controls and risk‑management processes.
• Improve processes and systems to enhance client service and sales delivery across the SME segment.

Required profile

• Strategic, results‑driven banking professional with strong SME and business banking experience.
• Proven leadership capability and a track record of driving sales growth and business performance.
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver innovative client solutions.
