About the role

The Senior Manager Financial Performance leads the Finance Business Partnering team at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, providing strategic financial leadership that aligns with the bank’s priorities and long‑term objectives. You will shape financial insight, forecasting and budgeting while championing innovation and continuous improvement across financial planning and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Business Partners team to deliver accurate forecasts, budgets and long‑term plans.
• Provide robust financial insight and evaluate strategic options for senior leadership.
• Ensure financial discipline, transparency and governance across the organisation.
• Leverage technology and innovative processes to improve financial planning outcomes.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, influencing decisions and challenging assumptions constructively.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Chartered Accountant with at least seven years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning initiatives.
• Strong track record of cross‑functional collaboration and influencing senior leaders.
• Experience in coaching and developing high‑performing finance teams.
• Excellent communication skills with senior leadership and governance bodies.
