Senior Manager - AML/CFT Assurance & Advisory

About the role

Strategi is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its AML/CFT Assurance & Advisory practice in Albany, Auckland. The role will drive the development of robust anti‑money‑laundering and counter‑terrorist financing frameworks, ensuring the highest standards of compliance for our banking and financial services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Define and shape AML/CFT assurance methodologies and advisory frameworks.
• Lead a team of consultants delivering compliance assessments, risk reviews and remediation plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on AML/CFT strategy, policy design and implementation.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and translate them into actionable guidance.
• Represent the practice in business development activities and thought‑leadership initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience (8+ years) in AML/CFT compliance within banking or financial services.
• Proven track record of managing senior‑level advisory projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
