Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer

About the role

Partly is building the first global platform for replacement auto parts. As a Senior ML Research Engineer you will create and ship machine‑learning and algorithmic solutions that solve real problems in the vehicle‑parts domain, working closely with product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end‑to‑end applied ML solutions, from problem framing to production rollout and monitoring.
• Build and maintain gold‑standard datasets and evaluation metrics that reflect real‑world performance.
• Develop a foundational model for the vehicle‑parts problem space that can be adapted across multiple downstream tasks.
• Blend machine learning with algorithmic approaches such as ranking, classification, retrieval, graph/heuristic methods, and large language models.
• Ensure production readiness by addressing latency, scalability, observability, and safe rollout requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering production‑grade ML systems in complex, data‑rich environments.
• Ability to work with ambiguous, noisy data and translate it into measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on rigorous evaluation and continuous improvement.
