Senior Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Logistics Coordinator reports to the Group Logistics Manager and owns outbound shipment planning and execution for global markets. The role sits at the centre of the logistics function, coordinating carriers, 3PL partners and internal teams to keep freight moving efficiently and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and book outbound shipments across global markets, selecting optimal carriers and vessels.
• Monitor container supply, resolve disruptions and manage volume forecasts for shipping lines and warehouses.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for 3PL partners, ensuring agreed service levels for receiving, storage, picking and dispatch.
• Identify and resolve service issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Support tendering, onboarding and transition of new 3PL providers.
• Identify cost optimisation opportunities across freight and warehousing networks.
• Contribute to network design, capacity planning and long‑term warehousing strategy.
• Maintain up‑to‑date freight rates and ensure accurate cost recovery from customers.
• Maintain data accuracy throughout logistics processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, freight or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, carrier management and container logistics.
• Proven experience managing 3PL partners and holding them accountable.
• Commercial awareness with a focus on cost optimisation.
• High attention to detail and strong data accuracy discipline.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Tertiary qualification in supply chain or logistics is preferred.

Required skills

• ERP experience, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
