Senior Key Account Manager – Consumer Electronics

About the role

The Senior Key Account Manager will drive commercial growth for a global consumer technology portfolio across New Zealand. Working fully remotely, you will manage key retail and online channels, build strong buyer relationships and ensure sustainable sell‑in and sell‑through performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop relationships with major retail, distribution and online partners in New Zealand.
• Identify, pitch and secure new ranging, listing and promotional opportunities.
• Create account plans, sales forecasts, promotional calendars and growth initiatives aligned with market objectives.
• Drive sell‑in, sell‑through, product visibility and campaign execution across assigned accounts.
• Build trusted relationships with buyers, category managers, planners and marketplace contacts.
• Monitor competitor activity, category trends and channel performance to uncover growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional sales, marketing, product and supply‑chain teams for launches, pricing and promotions.
• Operate independently in a remote setting while maintaining clear communication and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven key account or channel sales experience in consumer electronics, audio, smart devices or related technology categories.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand retail, online and distribution channels, preferably with major retailer or marketplace accounts.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen: managing sales targets, negotiating trading plans and analysing performance.
• Excellent buyer relationship management skills with category teams and planners.
• Growth‑oriented mindset, comfortable with both strategic planning and hands‑on execution.
• Experience supporting product ranging, launch planning and promotional activities.
