Senior iOS Developer

About the role

Join IDEXX's global software centre of excellence in Auckland as a Senior iOS Developer. You will work within a high‑performing squad focused on the SmartFlow product, delivering modern, iPad‑based solutions for veterinary hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain advanced iOS (iPad) applications using Swift and Objective‑C.
• Lead the full development lifecycle from concept through deployment, ensuring intuitive and performant features.
• Maintain application performance, quality and responsiveness.
• Integrate with backend services, APIs and cloud‑based solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, crashes and performance issues quickly.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior iOS developer.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions and guide teams.
• Hands‑on experience converting Objective‑C codebases to Swift.
• Understanding of cloud technology principles and system design.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience in a scaled SaaS environment is highly desirable.
