Senior Infrastructure Engineer – ITS

About the role

Deloitte is looking for an experienced ITS Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its Internal Technology Services team. You will support roughly 2,000 users across New Zealand, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the firm’s technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Support enterprise infrastructure across servers, networks, cloud platforms, virtualisation, and end‑user technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues and technical escalations.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, technology rollouts, remediation activities, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Operate within ITSM frameworks, handling incidents, requests, changes, and problems.
• Assist with security, compliance, patching, vulnerability remediation, and audit‑related tasks.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, standards, and operational records.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve service reliability and performance.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance across infrastructure technologies.

Required profile

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or related technical roles.
• Strong background supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues and manage technical escalations.
• Experience leading infrastructure changes, upgrades, and remediation projects.
