Senior Full Stack Developer

About the role

The Design System team at BNZ builds the front‑end foundations for the bank’s digital experiences. You will turn BNZ’s design language into reusable products used across web, iOS and Android, helping teams deliver consistent, accessible, high‑quality experiences. This is a hybrid role based in Auckland with three anchor days in the office and two flexible days.

Key responsibilities

• Create standards, tooling and reusable components that power digital experiences for millions of customers.
• Shape frontend architecture and shared infrastructure to improve performance, accessibility and maintainability.
• Support teams in adopting the design system, migrating components and modernising the frontend platform.
• Build testing infrastructure and contribute to continuous improvement of the platform.

Required profile

• Curious, collaborative and passionate about accessible, high‑quality digital products.
• Enjoys learning, sharing knowledge and helping others succeed.
• Background in design or strong understanding of accessibility and customer experience flows, transitioned into development.
• Commercial experience building modern web applications with TypeScript and React.
