Senior Financial Accountant (Interim)

About the role

This interim position supports the integration of a newly acquired New Zealand business into a global finance function. You will work closely with Group Finance to ensure accurate financial data and prepare for migration onto the Group's ERP platform, Vantage Point.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly trial balances for FY26 using the local accounting system.
• Review financial records and ensure supporting documentation is complete.
• Assess revenue recognition and make accrual‑based adjustments as needed.
• Review payroll and cost allocations for correct accounting treatment.
• Perform detailed balance‑sheet and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Reconcile local records to the Group consolidation.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support finance process improvements ahead of the ERP migration.
• Collaborate with the Group Finance team throughout the integration project.

Required profile

• CAANZ, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong financial accounting and month‑end close experience.
• Expertise in reconciliations and balance‑sheet review.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and accrual accounting.
• Experience in multi‑entity or group environments is preferred.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.

What we offer

• Hybrid work arrangement (1‑3 days onsite in Hamilton).
• Daily rate of NZ$750‑1,000 or a fixed‑term contract equivalent of NZ$30,000‑35,000 for the initial three‑month assignment.
