Senior Engineer – Transport Design

About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead transport design projects within its Transportation Design team. You will provide technical leadership, deliver cost‑effective civil engineering solutions, and contribute to high‑performing projects that shape communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical content and delivery of strategic transport projects using OpenRail, OpenRoads, 12D, Civil3D and Infraworks.
• Produce designs, models and drawings for a wide range of civil infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain expertise across civil infrastructure work areas and improve CAD/BIM standards.
• Prepare estimates, schedules of quantities, technical reports, specifications and tender documents.
• Undertake construction management, supervision and verification activities.
• Provide project management support, including project briefs, fee estimation, planning and profit monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with professional and technical standards and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Senior‑level civil engineering experience in transport design.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong project management and client‑facing skills.
• Experience delivering projects on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
